High net worth brokerage subsidiary of consumer bank
Assist in the branch network conversion. The conversion was precipitated by the client’s acquisition of a regional bank with over 500+ investment advisors in 300 branches. Our role was to follow-up with the investment advisors after business systems training. There were six major system applications spanning banking and brokerage activities.
Our focus included the operational validation of branch transaction and administrative systems. We also ensured that branch sales and administrative staff were familiar with the bank’s systems, policies and procedures.
We coordinated these efforts with client technology advising of system and communications issues, problem resolution and testing conversion programs. These systems supported new account opening and maintenance, client account balances, positions and activity, order entry and positions, balances and activity reporting as well as other functions.
These efforts resulted in a smooth conversion, minimal interruption in client services and staff defections while supporting increases in business processed beyond expectations. Client avoided potential services interruptions to and negative experience among clients and new employees due to proactive support. In addition several “quick reference scripts” that we developed during the project were later incorporated in the client’s procedures and manuals.
